"Oh Karma....."
The scene slowly opens up inside of Joe's gym with Joe Jones walking out of the back corner with the UWL Heritage title on his shoulder. Joe is making his way past all sorts of benches and machines. In center of his gym is the ring.
"Karma....." Joe says again. He comes up to the ring and uses the steps and step up on the ring apron. "Oh Karma. Can you hear me now?"
Joe ducks under the top rope and into the ring, his ring and pulls out his cell phone.
"You should be asking if you are listening to me not the other way around. For a guy who didn't have nothing to say last week you sure have a ton to say this. I mean you sound like a smug little spoiled brat on repeat but you have a lot to say. The thing is Karma, the crap you spew is meaningless. You're kicking a dead horse thinking your point you think your making is going to get under my skin or something."
Joe shakes his head no.
"But your not. I think you need to get your facts straight Karma. I've been doing this a long time son. Your just a pup peeing on the carpet and needs to get slapped. That little smug look, the little dick eating snickers you have......will only get you hurt. First of all Karma. Since Final Countdown I have defended my title the same number of times that JB has. So you can wipe that smirk off your face. "I haven't done anything with the Heritage title?" Really? I just won this belt Karma. This notion that I won this title and started to hide behind is laughable. The idea that when you "step forward" to challenge me and I "back stepped" is a joke. The only one in this match that back peddled was you. You're the Johnny come lately to the UWL. You're still the FNG in the UWL. The only thing you have earned in the UWL thus far is a pay check and even then that is debatable. You see Karma, unlike the name you go by, you're nothing but a liar, and a system sucker! A hand out junkie. Remember when I told you to face either Robb Daniels or Arch Stanton and you're like, "See Joe, I already faced Robb Daniels!" because I do. In fact let me quote you word for word. You said. "Well if you don’t recall, even though I have made it clear, I have already beaten Robb Daniels once."
Joe swipes the screen on his phone and pulls up the UWL Web site.
"You see Karma the reason why I don't recall that ever f*cking happening is because....it didn't happen. Rolling in under the bottom rope before a 20 count and "winning" the match isn't really "winning" a match. You didn't beat Robb Daniels. You didn't put his shoulders on the mat or make him tap. All you did was beat him in a foot race. This isn't track and field Karma, this is wrestling and claiming to face and beat someone when you didn't and then saying that it counted and your done with your challenge is pretty much using a gift win as a way out. Let's just call it the way that it is. Every big match you have had so far in the UWL, you have failed to win. You lost against Drew Stevenson. You got a count out on Robb Daniels and that is just laughable to consider that a win. You came up short in the Coronation Cup even with Justin Brooks in your corner and last week against Arch and JB, you lost that match. Every time you go up against a big name, a marquee name, a champion. You have come up short and now we are suppose to think that this week, tomorrow night you will be able to do something that you have failed to do every other time? Come on man, I'm the most decorated champion in the UWL today. I have made this month be the month of Joe Jones. You couldn't beat Bad Intentions when you had a opportunity to win something meaningful in the UWL and this week, the same thing will happen. You will end up choking."
Joe takes the UWL Heritage title off his shoulder and holds it in his hands and glances at it.
"Let's just say for arguments sake you some how over come the odds. You some how come through and get lucky because let's be honest here Karma, if you do win it will be because you got lucky but let's say you win and walk out with the Heritage title."
Joe drops the title on the mat.
"It will still change nothing. Your still the little spoiled looking for a hand out system sucker who won himself a title. One title. Yeah sure it will change your life. You will hold that title up high in the air and pat your self on the back and we'll all see your chest expand as you strut around with a look at me smile on your face. It'll be the greatest win you have had in your career while for me, it will be just a speed bump onto the next step. I will just shrug it off and move on because as much as I like being the Heritage champion, as much respect I have for that title. Being just the Heritage champion is not my goal here in the UWL. There will still be no one better than me. I will still be the hottest star in the UWL. I will still be the only one that matters in the UWL. You wanna know why Karma? It's because I have earned that. I'm in the gym busting it out despite what you say. There is a reason why I have two championships and won the cup to start the year and no one else can say that. Not Landon, not Brooks. You don't win 10 championships in your career by being lazy Karma. You win 10 titles by killing it in and out of the ring. Killing it in the gym everyday."
Joe steps over the title and makes his way across the ring and to the ropes. He leans on the top rope.
"But that's not why I'm going to win this match. No. We can stand here and talk about lifting weights, shaking hands and kissing babies till we are blue in the face. I'm going to win this match because Karma just isn't as good as me. You're still wet behind the ears. You're in the kiddie pool. When that bell rings, I will expose all of your short comings. You're still raw talent Karma. I've been at this for a while, I'm refined. I know the tricks you don't know and that is the difference in this match. It will be my pleasure to put your shoulders on the mat for the 1, 2, 3. When I get my hand raised in victory and make no doubt about it, I will win this match, you will be nothing more than a notch in my belt. Another guy who thought they could beat me, and failed. There's a long line of guys who swore up and down there was no way I would win and you will know what they felt when I defeated them. You should bottle that feeling when it happens. Savor it, let it roll around tongue and taste the sweat bitterness of defeat because it is a feeling you will taste several times Karma. Guys like you, you never really truly win. You're the monthly flash in a pan that not even Robb Daniels is going to note in his book."
Joe nods his head.
"Consider yourself warned."
