RP#70

Saturday night.....

Backstage at the UWL arena after the show. Joe Jones is slowly making his way to the exits with his bag in tow behind him, with the UWL Tag Team title hooked around the handle of it and the Heritage title is hanging from his shoulder. A unknown man with a camera runs up to Joe Jones.

"Joe! Joe Jones!" He goes sticking the camera in his face like a paparazzi stalker. Joe doesn't stop walking to the exit and he quickly glances at the guy and shoots him a dirty look. "I just heard that next week you will be teaming up with Karma! What you think about that?"

Joe says nothing, just keeps walking.

"Joe! You and Karma will be facing Arch Stanton and Justin Brooks! What do you say about that?"

Again Joe says nothing but tries to walk around the guy.

"Anything Joe? What do you think of Brooks title reign so far? Is he a good World Heavyweight champion?"

Joe again says nothing so this guy must not be employed by the UWL from what we can gather. Finally at the exit Joe goes to push open the door, the unknown guy with the camera stops and fires away with one last question.

"Do you think Brooks should be the World Champ?"

Joe pushes open the door and glances back at the guy. He smirks. "He's the champ only because I allow him to be the champ."

Joe makes his way through the door and the door slams shut and you can hear the "Oh he didn't!" from behind the camera and the feed ends.

The scene opens up with Joe Jones standing in his practice ring in his gym in his tights and a plain white t-shirt with both titles draped over his shoulders. It's been a while since we have seen the gym and Nanook and Joe have sunk a ton of cash into the place and it's looking real nice. No longer a run down dump but a real nice professional place. Even the ring got a face lift. Joe slowly strolls up to the ropes holding his two titles.

"Take a good look. Take a good hard look at what "nothing" looks like in the UWL. Karma stood in the ring after beating Archer and said that I am nothing. The man who currently holds 2 championships and won the Tag Team Coronation Cup is viewed as a nothing two bit looser by a guy who has never won ANYTHING in his entire life. I've got Emma and Archer breathing down my back, taking pot shots when ever they can to take this nothing from me. They have made it their life's mission to win nothing in the UWL! They have stated countless times that they want to show the UWL who the best tag team in the UWL is, and to do that, to prove that they want to win the UWL Nothing Tag Team titles! They want to go down in the history books as the best nothing champions. And to do that, they want to take my nothing from me."

Joe takes his two championship titles and drapes them over the top rope.

"Do you know how retarded that sounds Karma? Pull your Iphone out of your purse and click on the UWL web site and on the main page, who's name is listed multiple times under current champions? That just didn't happen by mistake. I didn't step in a huge pile of golden shit Karma! I busted my ass, I paid my dues. I took my beatings, was made fun of, was written off. Hell I was accused of burning down a city block in Germany to get here Karma. I lost to freaking Caleb Hart 6 times before finally winning this. The Heritage title you want to bad because I know you want to be "nothing" in the UWL too. This notion that I didn't earn any of this, that I didn't win anything until Nanook brought freaking NASCAR Billy to the UWL is a insult to not only me, but to everyone in the UWL who holds Championship gold. What? Sean Landon just happened to be in the right spot at the right time and was handed the TV title? Did Justin Brooks according to you Karma just had his name pulled from a hat 3 times to become the World Champ?"

Joe leans on the top rope and glares into the camera.

"You Karma, have a lot to learn. No one in this sport is handed a championship. Click on the title histories of any title the UWL has or ever had. Every single guy on the list, earned their time as the champ. Every guy on that list, defended those titles to best of their abilities against guys who EARNED those shots! You want to stand in that ring and talk about how I am afraid to defend this title, then talk away Karma because I would rather wait for a opponent who worked their way up the ladder, and paid their dues and earned a shot at the Heritage title before I defend this title against you! You want to play games? I'll play! I'll play the Karma ain't getting a shot game! In fact!"

Joe smirks and straightens up.

"I'm going to start hanging out ringside at every title match Sean Landon has and watch him as he defends the TV title 3 more times before he gets a shot at the Heritage title, and I'm willing to bet Karma, that Sean Landon gets a shot at the Heritage title before you do."

Joe nods.

"Yeah I can see that happening very easily. But you know! This week isn't about you and your quest to get the Heritage title, a title you'll never get by the way. This week isn't about Emma and Archer saying I'm dodging them either. It's nice to get a break from that nonsense. Just sign the damn paper Archer and lets get this match done. No this week is all about something I do best in the UWL. This week is about me in tag team action picking up another win in tag action an another win over Justin Brooks. This week is also about me beating Arch Stanton and showing you Karma how it's done. You know Karma if you were smart, you should be licking your chops about this match this week because you could use a loophole to get that Heritage title you desire so much."

Joe just shakes his head and takes a step back from the ropes.

"I told you if you want a match that you need to face Robb Daniels or Arch Stanton and beat them. I never once said that it had to be a singles match. But you ran your mouth last week after your match and said that deal was off the table so you're shit out of luck this week because you got your match against Stanton and you would have me, in your corner to help you beat Stanton and thus awarding you a match against me and the Heritage title."

Joe starts to laugh.

"Oh I love when stuff like this happens. I gave you a deal, you said no deal and the UWL, makes the match happen anyway! Kinda ironic...isn't it?"

Joe takes his two titles and takes them off of the top rope and props them back on his shoulders.

"Big Bad Brooks. I'm not going to dispute what the UWL World title means, but when you said I run this yard..."

Joe looks at each of his titles.

"I will dispute that notion. I'm pretty sure the name on the marquee over that yard says Joe Jones. In fact if I wasn't busy swatting some gnats away, I would be looking to add another title to my current collection. Unlike most of the guys in the UWL, I'm not afraid of you. I've put your shoulders down on the mat. In fact."

Joe again glances at both of his titles.

"That old guy Arch and Robb Daniels just might have to step aside because you have something I want and I just might come and wreck your "yard" and take it."

Joe looks into the camera for a second with a dead serious look on his face.

"Yup. I just might have to do that. Consider yourself warned."
