The scene opens up inside of Joe's office at his gym. It's getting late at night and there is only one small light on in his office leaving the background in the dark. Joe walks into his office stepping behind his desk wearing a nice white dress shirt with the UWL Tag Team title draped over his shoulder. Joe cocks his head to the side and smirks. Before he says anything he rubs his chin.
"I once again showed the world why, I am the best there is in the UWL. Why Billy and I is the best tag team in the UWL. Without a shadow of a doubt, there isn't a team in the UWL that can hold a candle to us. I gave this title to Emma last week so she can feel how it feels to walk around with this on your shoulder. I told her I would be getting my title back and Saturday night, I did just that. I took back what was mine."
Joe slowly slides the title off of his shoulder and sets the title on his desk in front of him.
"And come the twenty first in Lexington, I will take back something else that is mine. The Heritage title. A title that was stolen from me. A title that is held by a guy who tired to paint a picture that Championship gold went to my head. Oh Karma will have you believe that I wasn't worthy of the Heritage title. That I lucked into the title. He will try to tell you that I, didn't deserve the Heritage title."
Joe wets his lips and glances down at the tag title for a second.
"Karma will tell you allot of things to paint me in a negative light but the fact remains that not only did I deserve the Heritage title, I earned the Heritage title. You see I took a beating from Caleb Hart. Hart was walking out that door. He was picking his ball up and leaving town and he was taking the belt with him. I took everything Hart had that night. Hart wasn't out to just beat me, he was out to make a statement. I was busted open bleeding all over the mat and I dug in, found that little something extra and did what no one thought was possible. I defeated Caleb Hart. I earned that Heritage title that night. I was able to hold my head high, raise my hand in victory knowing it was clean win, knowing that I busted my ass to win that title. Knowing that when it was all said and done, I was legitimity the new champion. Can you say that Karma?"
Joe takes a seat behind his desk.
"No....no you can't."
Joe leans back in his chair slightly.
"I heard you last week saying that when you walk down the hallway people run in terror. That people rush out to buy tickets just because you are booked on the show. The whole I'm the new man that roam these halls line did make me chuckle. You haven't accomplished a single damn thing here in the UWL. You had Justin f*cking Brooks as your tag team partner in the Coronation cup and you failed to win that. You needed help from Emma and Archer to beat me and steal my title and last week you couldn't even beat Alan Christopher. For someone who has "steam rolled" everyone placed in front of him, you sure seem to have a very weak resume around here. Oh don't let me take anything away from you Karma. Yeah you beat the Great Manniquini and some other guy or two but what have you really done around here Karma? What can you say you really accomplished around here? You know in some ways you remind me a couple of other blow hards who are no longer in the UWL anymore."
Joe turns his chair to the right slightly.
"People are scared of me. I rose to the top of the UWL faster than anyone else in the history. Overstated accomplishments. You sound just like other meat heads that have come and gone from the UWL. They are like some of the fireworks you buy on the side of a highway. They catch fire, fly through the ranks and explode and gone from the UWL and quickly forgotten about and do you know why that happens Karma? It's because their vanilla ice cream. Bland, cookie cutter guys who have no substance, who think they are the best in the world in their own minds. These guys don't have the staying the power. They are one dimensional. They think just because they beat a guy or two and win a title or two that makes them the "Man" around here when these guys, when it starts to get hot in the kitchen they bolt because they know when they are actually challenged, they can't persevere in the face of adversity. They take the easy road. They take the course of action that saves face and leaves their so called legacy intact. That is what I think of you Karma."
Joe turns his chair back towards the camera.
"And I know this because not to long ago, I had you by the balls....."
Joe holds up his hand he used on Karma, holding up his "claw".
"And you cried like a bitch. You're all talk. You stick your chest out and act like a tough guy calling yourself the Monster hoping to strike fear into everyone. Stomping around, hulking it up but I see right through your bullshit. It's a act. A farse persona. If it wasn't for Emma and Archer you would never have that title right now. I'm willing to bet that you were glad to see that I didn't have a reaction after our first match. When no one could find me, when no one heard from me all week long, I seen what you did. You just figured I would disappear and no one would ever see me again. You see Karma, I didn't do anything you said I would after that match. I didn't say a word, I didn't cry and play the blame game. I just waited for the next show and cashed in my rematch which I bet you were hoping I wouldn't do. Ever since the moment when I told you when I was going to get my rematch, you have been singing a new tune. I can hear the doubt in your voice. Everyone is saying that I will take my title back because everyone knows that when push comes to shove, I will find a way to win. I've been tested. I've been kicked down face first in the mud and I've gotten up every time. I pushed forward through the muck and made the doubters eat their words. People might win a match against me here and there, but there is no truly defeating Joe Jones. People just know better Karma. Go ask your buddies in Bad Intentions if anyone can defeat me when there is gold on the line. I will be taking my title back. The title that was wrongly taken away from me. I don't view you as a champion. I see a thief in front of me. A thief that is about to get handed some street justice. This is a lesson you will learn the hard way Karma. When you mess with Joe Jones, in the end, you will lose the war."
Joe stands up.
"Keep telling yourself how awesome these last three months have been for you. Keep telling yourself that no one can stop you around here. Tell yourself what ever you need to tell yourself to get yourself ready for this match. You're just a baby in this sport. Three months is nothing and you have accomplished NOTHING in those three months. I have 12 years under my belt and I have many belts around my waist. One for each day of the week. I've been at this for a long time and I know what it takes to get it done. I've been pushed. I've been tested. You can't say the same and on the 21st, that inexperience will be your downfall."
Joe taps his tag title with his left hand.
"I will once again be a dual champion in the UWL. I will spoil your first title defense and I will make you a one and done champ.....of course calling you a champion is a oxymoron but hey, I was being nice. Consider yourself warned."
Fade to black.
