The scene opens up inside of Joe's gym, inside of his ring. Joe is in his wrestling gear is in the ring running across the ring into the ropes, bouncing off them, hits the mat and rolls into front roll and bounces back to his feet. When he pops up he bounces up and down a couple of times and charges into the ropes again. This time he leaps and jumps on the second rope, comes off the rope with a moonsault and lands on his feet then proceeds to do some back flips into the other ropes, where he does a handstand into the ropes, which shoots him back into the ring where he returns to his feet and pulls off a spinning heel kick. Joe is now in the center of the ring with his hands balled up into fists ready to strike. The screen goes black.
"So you were thrilled to hear that I wanted my rematch were ya?"
Fade in the scene where Joe confronts Karma in the ring to tell him about the rematch from a couple of weeks ago.....and fade out to darkness.
"If that was you being thrilled then we should start calling you little Napoleon."
The scene slowly starts to come back, blurry at first.
"And yes that was a lame attempt at a getting felt up joke. I could feel how, thrilled you were. Whatever."
Everything comes into focus with Joe Jones leaning on the top rope looking down at the camera.
"I'm not here to try and become a small dick comedian. No I'm here in Tennessee to add to my legacy. To build on my reputation. Seeing that the winter Olympics are going on, I'm only here in the UWL to add to my Gold count. Titles and awards is all I seek inside this ring. I'm not out there to be the most feared guy in the locker room. Why guys say that is beyond me. I have never seen anyone fear another guy in the locker room anywhere I've been. I have been around, I've been in more back rooms and locker rooms than I can even remember. I've worked in all 50 states, Canada and Mexico. Japan, Germany, the UK and even a trip to down under. France, Spain, Sweden, Italy, Greece, I have many stamps in my passport that tells a tale of a well traveled professional wrestler. You want to know how good someone is? Take a look at his passport. Only the best of the best get to fill one up and I'm not alone in the UWL with guys who have several stamps in their passport. Hell I don't think you can even say you made it in this business with out at least 12 stamps in your passport from Japan. That is where you want to go to showcase yourself. To sell yourself. Your craft inside this ring is your new shinny car you want to show off and race on the weekends and there is no better place to race your new shinny toy than in the land of the rising sun. But.....I'm not here today to brag about how many times I've been here and there and how many titles I've won in my career, but the other day. After watching Karma run at the mouth. It got me wondering. Does that guy even have a passport?"
Joe takes his thumb and runs it along his brow to wipe some sweat away.
"Karma can hold up my belt and point to the name plate and brag about how everyone runs in fear in the back which is a pile crap. I don't tuck my tail and run away when I see him and I don't see JB, Stanton or even Hart giving that guy the time of day in the back. Karma can run his mouth all he wants about how many matches he has been in, his win lose record and how quickly he quote won a championship and how he's working his way up the ladder in the UWL. With no passport and not one single trip to Japan he'll tell you how he made it here in the UWL. He can talk all of the talk he wants because at the end of the day, that is all Karma has. A lone Heritage championship and a half dozen wins. He hasn't made a impact on the UWL. He hasn't left his mark. No one remembers any of the matches he has had in the UWL. Other than "beating" me, Karma hasn't had that match that people will be talking about a week from now, a month from now, not even a year from now. Karma is just a guy who think just because he complied a bunch of meaningless wins, that means he is The Guy around here."
Joe cracks a smile.
"You know I might catch some heat for this."
Joe shrugs.
"But there used to a guy around here who would walk around saying, I became the World champion after just 9 months in the UWL. I rose through the ranks so fast, faster than anyone ever in the UWL. I am one of the most dominant forces to ever step into the UWL. And then we headed in the Coronation cup and this guy, this guy had his eyes set on winning the cup because even though he was struggling in the UWL at that time, he saw the cup as a way to get a shot at the UWL World title, something he wanted to win again more than anything else. His attitude going into the cup was that he already had that thing won. It was a foregone conclusion that he would be crowned the 2013 Coronation winner. Then in his first match in the round robin tournament, he ran into me."
Joe puts his foot on the bottom rope and smirks.
"That guy was Troy Vincent and on that night.....I made him tap out. Troy's run at the Cup was over with right then and there. Karma's remarks, attitude and actions reminds me a awful allot of Troy Vincent. Nothing but a over confidant stat man and while you need confidence in this sport, having too much of it will get you into trouble. It will lead you to your downfall. You'll have your blinders on going into this match thinking that you have it in the bag. That you will win it no matter what because of what happened last time. And it's that train of thought that will cost you that title, my title. Much how I spoiled Troy Vincent's hopes and dreams, I will spoil your hopes and dreams of being this greatest Heritage champion of all time. You can look at my record all you want and scoff at it but just keep this in mind. I'm the guy who gave Caleb Hart hell when he was the TV champion. I'm the guy who saved the Heritage title and don't think for one minute that Hart gave up in that match because he knew he was leaving. He wanted to stick it to the UWL and take the Heritage title with him. I'm the guy who closed out 2013 with 2 championships around my waist and I'm the guy who opened 2014 by picking up the Cup. In a matter of weeks, I achieved more than you did in all of your 4 months in the UWL. Everyone was talking about me, I raised eyebrows and made people whisper in the locker rooms that I was just getting started. And best of all Karma, outside of the tag tiles, I did all of that on my own. I didn't need help from Bad Intentions. I didn't need to triple power bomb guys through tables to soften up my would be opponents. I didn't need to bring chairs into the ring or have Emma hand me a hand full of dust. That is what the locker room says when they talk about Karma. He couldn't beat Joe on his own. He couldn't win with Justin Brooks as his tag team partner. In fact when you look back on it, It was you Karma who put black marks on Justin Brooks record.......just saying."
Joe turns his back to the camera and takes a couple of steps and picks up a bottle of water and turns back towards the camera as he unscrews the cap.
"You want to prove to everyone in the UWL that you deserve that title, that this will be the match that ends the debate. So are you defending the title or am I? I mean after all it does have your name on it? Doesn't it? Doesn't really mater anyway's. My name will soon be back on that title and right here."
Joe pats his stomach.
"Back around my waist where it belongs. Where it should have been this whole time. It is just a matter of time now before I get back what was stolen from me, and add to my long list of accomplishments in my career, and go down in the history books as a two time, yeah I said that right, a two time UWL Heritage champion. I will once again walk out in front of those fans, the people who are buying up the Joe Jones T shirts and DVD's as the UWL Tag Team Champion and the new two time UWL Heritage champion. When it happens Karma."
Joe takes a sip of water as he slowly walks back up to the ropes. He places his boot back on the bottom rope.
"Don't act surprised. Don't throw a hissy fit. Just accept it as fact, the cold hard truth that the better guy, won and that the better guy tonight, tomorrow night, next week, next month and next year will always be me. You reap what you sow Karma. You should know that better than anyone else. You had this coming kid."
Joe takes a big sip of his water and starts to walk away as the scene fades out.
