"Billy? Billy? Are you okay?"
"huh....what?""Billy! Get up!"
Kip Anderson reaches out and nudges Billy and that startles him. He jumps in the chair he is prop 'ed up in. As Billy comes too he finds himself sitting in a nice chair with Kip Anderson sitting in a chair kitty corner from him. Billy rubs his eyes and sits up in the chair unsure of what is going on. He blinks several times and rubs the side of his face.
"What's going on?" Billy asks.
"Don't you remember? We scheduled a interview today. When I got here Steve said you were taking a nap and he thought it would funny if we set up and rolled the camera and woke you up." Kip goes.
"Oh.....yeah. Silly me." Billy says playing along.
"So....SURPRISE! Time for this interview to get kicked up a notch!" Kip says sporting a huge smile.
"I see....""Now Steve told us you have been up since Saturday night drinking and partying and you crashed this morning." Kip begins with.
"Really? Steve said all of that?""And this has me worried Billy. I consider you a friend and I'm worried about your late nights catching up to you. You can't burn the candle at both ends like this Billy. You have been the UWL tag team champion since you first stepped in the UWL way back in October. You should be proud of that Billy. Not everyone can say they are tag team champions let alone hold onto those titles as long as you have. You need to take care of yourself. You need to put the Shine down, sober up and start to eat right. You can't hit Waffle house every night. That stuff isn't good for you. You should also stop chewing. You'll get jaw cancer soon or later."
Billy clears his throat.
"I'll see what I can do Kip. I hear you."Meanwhile Billy hasn't touched any shine since Saturday night when he had to drink the sour grapes, and before that he went a week with out a drink.
"You should model yourself after your new tag team partner Emma Douglas. She has a great work ethic. Trains hard, eats right, gets plenty of sleep."
Billy gets a weird look on his face.
"Why you know so much about Emma Kip? You stalking her?" "I huh...I have spent a lot of time talking to her."
"I see." Billy says while crossing his arms.
Kip quickly changes the subject. "Now that you have a new tag team partner in Emma Douglas the other teams in the UWL."
"All two of them." Billy adds.
"Have to be licking their lips and poised to strike because while Emma Douglas is a star in the UWL, a top notch competitor in the UWL you two have not worked together. This version of the tag team champions is completely different of the old version of the tag team champions. You and Joe were a well oiled team. The other two top teams in the UWL have been working together for a while now. Eddie Jones and Stephen Callaway have been working together for years and Pine Baron and Kahzir work very well together. Does this worry you?"
Billy raises one eye brow.
"Jesus Christ Kip! I just woke up! Fer cryin' out loud. But I see yer point. Rapid Angle, Baron and Kahzir are old hat with one another while Emma and I, have yet to be tested. But hear me when I seys dis Kip. When those two team figure out who will be da first team to face us, we will pass da test with flyin' colors. I didn't pick Emma just because Kip. I know she is battle tested. I can trust her. Dis was da best move I could make when Joe got hurt and dis will work out fer da best Kip. Ima planin' on hold on der dat title fer a year and more Kip. When we finally defend those straps. Old NASCAR Billy will still walk out of dat match as the champion. Got it?""So, how do you feel about this week's match then?"
Even though he has been sober all week, Billy has no clue who his opponent is this week. Nanook would send him a text on Sunday letting him know. Steve, not so much. So Billy plays it off that he was too drunk to remember. He leans forward and looks right at Kip.
"And who would dat be Kip?""Oh you didn't know?" Kip asks.
"Nope.""Why you will face at the UWL Arena Kahzir!"
"I see." Billy sits back in his chair and brings his hands to his nose touching the tip of his nose with the side of his index fingers. He's looking right at Steve Sinclair who is behind the camera man with the UWL Tag Team title hanging off his shoulder and a shit eating grin on his face. Billy slowly blinks and glances towards Kip.
"Kahzir you say? Dat loud mush mouth bastard is finally gunna step into da ring and look across and see me? I bet he is rubbing his hands raw just thinkin' about gettin' his hands on me thinkin' he is gunna make a point dat NASCAR Billy isn't in his league or some other dumb crap dat some of these guys spout off about. Kahzir can't even beat Eddie Jones and Callaway and he thinks dat he and Pine Baron can just roll into town and get a shot at da tag team champions? As da tag team champion I want to know who I'm gunna face and we don't have a clear cut number one contender and until we do, Ima thinkin' Kahzir should focus on dat other team. Hell a month ago I issued a open challenge and those two didn't step up and except my challenge."Billy leans forward in his chair towards Kip.
"It will be my pleasure to teach Kahzir a thing or two dis week. It will be my pleasure to show Kahzir first hand on what it means to get into dat ring against NASCAR Billy and show everyone in da UWL and everyone who will watch dat match on TV why I am da best tag team champion in the UWL today! As my old partner Joe would say. It's time fer Kahzir to step his game up.....and if and when he does, it still won't be good enough! Beatin' him is more den a shot across the bow. Beatin's Kahzir is sendin' a message directly to him and Pine Baron dat I ain't hidin' and I ain't afraid of either one of dem. Dey want a fight, I'll give em a fight! You can count on dat!"Billy stands up and makes a b line for the camera and tips the camera up towards his face. Billy is looking right into the camera, holding it with his left hand.
"Ima not playin! I will personally shut yer trap dis week and when I do, you and Pine Baron can go back under whatever rock you two came from and wonder just what in hell happened! 7 months as tag champion. I ain't stoppin' now. Hear me! Kahzir! You better bring it dis week because I will not show you any mercy dis week! I will make you eat every word you have been sayin' about me! I promise you dat!"Billy shoves the camera out of his face and the scene goes black...........................
