Watertown NY. The not so watered down town of Watertown has it’s fair share of bars and is no where near being a dry county. What is Watertown famous for? Nothing other than being home for Joe Twink Jones. Son of wrestling legend Green Man.
That is where we are today. A place that even Tony won’t find us in. They just arrived in town and the first place they go to is what Joe likes to call his second home. A bar in the middle of town that gets very busy at night called Cowboys. They hold Monday Night Football party’s, Wrestling party’s and all sorts of little gimmick nights that brings the people in. Buddy the owner of the bar is no dummy and he loves only one thing. Money. Need I say more?
Joe and Green Man walk into the place. It’s before hours but that doesn’t mean a thing to Joe seeing that he works here from time to time. The place is set up like a old saloon from the ruff wild west days of a time long ago. The space is wide open with hardwood floors, Wooden round tables and chairs to match with decks of cards on them all ready for long nights of poker and blackjack. The bar at the far end is long and made from redwood. With wooden stools to match it looks like you walked right into the past except for the huge 60 inch flat screen TV hanging on the wall. There is even a stair case that takes you above the bar to where a few rooms are. You can rent them by the hour if you want or even rent them for the month like one of Joe’s buddy does. Greg is his name drinking is his game. Nothing like a raging alcoholic living at the bar that just seems wrong.
As they walk in Green Man looks around. “Wow! What a place.” he says as he is impressed at the bar. “Are you sure we can be in here?” He asks Joe again.
“Yes. Will you relax. Buddy is cool with it.” Joe says.
Buddy you may be asking, Just who is buddy? Buddy is the owner of this joint.
“Are you sure?” Green Man asks.
“Yes.” Joe says again.
“Is he even here?” Green Man asks again.
“For the last time yes. He lives here.” Joe says.
Joe walks up to the bar and sits on a stool. On the bar is a old bell that is mounted in a plague that reads “Ring for service.” To which Joe taps and thus it rings.
“Why are we here again?” Green Man asks.
“Buddy has my last pay check that’s why.” Joe says.
“Why does he have you check?” The old man asks.
“Because I kinda work for him bartending and what not.” Joe says as he taps on the bell again.
“Huh.” Green Man says as he puts his hands in his pockets and waits. No one notices that upstairs a door opens up and out walks a man of 24 or so. Dark hair and of good looks. He walks down the small hallway of sorts and to the steps. He looks down into the bar. “SWEET ASSES OF MOLASSES!!” He cries out. Joe spins around and looks up at the top of the stairs. Green Man turns around as well feeling awfully out of place.
“GREG!” Joe says as Greg comes charging down the steps. Joe runs to him and the two meet in the middle. They hug and they...kiss. How sweet. Green Man can’t help but look away.
“What the hell are you doing here?” Greg asks after the embrace.
“Just stop to pick up a few things and see a few people. You being one of them I was hoping to catch.” Joe says as secretly he has a huge crush on Greg but Greg is taken to Joe’s dismay.
“Man it is great to see you . The place just hasn’t been the same without you!” Greg says as they hug again.
Meanwhile Green Man just stands there feeling like that guy at the party who was dragged along and told he’ll have great time but just ends up standing around wondering why he is there. But thankfully Greg see him.
“And who is this hunk of a man Joe? Are you cheating on me?” Greg asks as he looks over Green Man.
“OH! Greg this is my dad! Ted.” Joe says.
Greg eyes get wide. He has heard all about Joe’s old man but never thought he would ever meet him. Greg extends his hand towards Green Man for a handshake and Green Man extends him.
“So this is your father. Ted it is my pleasure to finally be able to meet you. I am truly blessed this day.” Greg says as they shake hands.
Green Man smiles. As to what to say he hasn’t the clue. I mean what do you really say? But he has to say something and the first thing that comes to mind rolls out of his mouth. “Yeah...Me too....Greg.”
“So Joe Going to be around for a while?” Greg asks.
“I think so.” Joe says.
“That is great! I hate to run out like this but I am running late. Steven got a leave from the military and I am picking him up. I can’t wait. I miss him real bad if you know what I mean. But I will return so we can catch up.” Greg says.
“Okay...okay.” Joe says as the hug again.
“And Ted. It’s a an honor sir.” Greg says as he hugs Green Man as well!!!
And with that Greg runs as he has to pick up his mate. Joe turns around and looks at Green Man who looks like he has just been violated.
“Greg is very open I take it?” Green Man says.
“And a whore but yes.” Joe says. and as he does the door slams
“OH! MY! GOD!” A scream is heard from a female. Joe snaps around.
“JEN!” Joe screams as they run towards each other and hug. Meanwhile Green Man is looking at the drop dead gorgeous redhead hugging his son. A sight he thought he would never see. But seeing that his son is gay Green Man checks her out. Hey you never know. As Jen and Joe stop hugging and chat among themselves a big old roily polly guy walks out from the back. He drops what it is that he carrying as everyone turns around. Joe lights up.
“HAVE MY EYES PLAYED TRICKS ON ME OR IS THAT SUPERSTAR JOE THAT HAS COME HOME!” Buddy exclaims.
“Buddy. I came home.” Joe says.
And as you can guess they hug as well once Buddy comes around the bar. Jen walks up and stands next to Green Man and she still has no idea who he is. Green Man looks at her and he doesn’t know she is gay as well.
“I take it people like to hug around here” Green Man says to her. Jen just smiles at him.
“TONIGHT! WE PARTY!” Buddy shouts out as the scene fades to black....................
