#9 Kasey Khane II

Goodlettsville TN, just outside of Nashville where Music City Raceway is and this morning the dynamic duo that is Racin' Tyme are in town to get some track time in 1/8th mile burst and in a straight line. Today is test and tune day and their 2014 COPO Camero has been pushed out of the trailer and is up on jack stands with the hood off of the car. Inside DJR is sliding into his driver's suit. His back is to us but he already has his mask on. He is zipping up his suit and slides his gloves on. He turns and steps to the edge of the hauler. He has a walkie talkie in his hand and keys the mic.

DJR "Mic check. Test one two, test two three."

On the other end is Spotter who is most likely up in the stands over looking the track.

Spotter "I hear ya little buddy! Loud and clear."

DJR "How's it looking buddy oh pal of mine?"

Spotter "Nice and bright. 37 degrees and the track is all of that and then some. Better get the real sticky tires out or we won't hook up. Not a cloud in the sky and no rain no where. Other than the temps, today couldn't be better. Over."

DJR raises the walkie up to his mouth one last time. "Copy that. I'll be out in a bit to light this mother and blast down the track."

Spotter "Roger that."

DJR sets the walkie down on a work bench in the hauler and slowly steps down off of the hauler. He is adjusting his gloves.

DJR "Spotter is right. Today is a great day. Today is a awesome day. Hell. This week. This week will be freaking fantastic! And do you wanna know why?"

DJR walks up to his drag car. A supercharged 2014 COPO Camero painted up to be like the General Lee. He crosses his arms as he stands behind it.

DJR "First. I get to drag out my brand new drag car. Yeah I was one of the lucky 69 bastards to get my hands on one of these and hell yeah I painted it orange and slapped a big old number 1 on it. Yeah I know it's not a Dodge but so what! It's still pretty bad ass.

Secondly. The UWL is in Nashville this week and I love this city. If I could call a place home this would be the place. With all of the racing, the music, the honky tonks and the women in this town....good lord what would anyone want in life? Some of da best racin', the best music and some of the honest to god hottest chicks live right here in Nashville. Swear to god! I won't lie about that. You know what else is awesome about Nashville? Beer and some of the finest shine in the state can be had right here in music city. And let's not forget about the wrestling. Der is a reason why the UWL is one of the best places to go for pro wrestling and everyone in this state knows it too and some of the most die hard fans you will ever find are right here in Nashville. Other than driving my new drag car down the track as fast as I can, winning rounds and lowering my ET, The next best thing would be to put on a show right here in Nashville!"

Spotter keys the mic and screams over the walkie talkie. Cheap pop.

DJR "And lastly. It didn't take the UWL long to hear our request. In a couple of weeks yours truly will get our shot at the UWL Tag Team titles and we will once again take the gold home. You can't hold a good team down and when we meet at 9th year....in a elimination match no less. It will feel great to beat Hammerstorm, and then Shadows and bring the gold home. I can't wait for that match but firstly....."

Spotter via the walkie talkie "Tell em about the Cup..."

DJR "of"

Spotter via the walkie talkie "Excellence little buddy."

DJR "Yes. This week in my favorite place on earth, I get back to working my way to my favorite cup in the world. A big gold cup that is so excellent that it has the word excellence in it's name. A couple of weeks ago I defeated the Hangman to pick up the first win in the tournament and the first two point in the standings. This week as faith would have it. I am set to face the one guy who I am in a tie with."

Spotter via the walkie talkie "Just call this a tie breaker match."

DJR "Only it will be more than a tie breaker. It'll be a game changer round because when I take Stephen Callaway and push him around, lean on him and rough him up and smack him into the wall taking him out I will have a commanding lead in the standings for the Cup."

Spotter via the walkie talkie "Of"

DJR "Excellence. Ever since we stepped into the UWL, we have done everything we said we will do. We won the tag titles."

Spotter via the walkie talkie "Fact."

DJR "I defeated the Hangman."

Spotter via the walkie talkie "Fact."

DJR "And I will defeat Stephen Callaway. DJR, the head sparkplug of the Sparkpluggers leading the fight against the intolerable Lugnutters will go on to win the Cup of Excellence! Sparkpluggers around the world will unite as one unstoppable force once we capture that cup. When Sparkpluggers put their minds to it, there is nothing...."

Spotter via the walkie talkie "And I mean NOTHING!"

DJR "That can stop us, and that goes for Stephen Callaway. I mean, hasn't Callaway been around the UWL for like a 100 years now?"

Spotter via the walkie talkie "It sure feels like it."

DJR "And what has he done around here besides a few tag title runs. Which by the way only happened because we weren't around to stop you."

Spotter via the walkie talkie "But then again we're not 40 years old either so I guess anyone could have been tag champions prior to us arriving here."

DJR "True. So true. I guess I shouldn't hold that against him. But I do know this. When I see Callaway all I see is another lug nutter like Kitten Diaz and if you have been following along, then you know I can't stand Lugnutters and when I see a Lugnutter I just have to put them in their place! And Callaway, is about to be in his place."

Spotter via the walkie talkie "I wonder if he will have angle to that?"

DJR "I know I do. 4 points and two wins and zero losses means....I am the front runner to the cup, to the championship and that my fellow Sparkpluggers is all you need to know because when you tangle with DJR! I always come out a Winner!"

Spotter via the walkie talkie "Nice!"
