Scene opens up with Sutton’s RV parked outside of a Bass Pro Shop…….
Move inside the shop and Sutton is slowly making his way towards the part of the store that carries fishing gear. More importantly the fly fishing section……
A associate is standing by the counter in the fishing section. She is 18-19 years old, college kid working part time there. It’s a Sunday morning and she is bright eyed and ready to go. And she’s not bad looking either. She spots Sutton. She smiles. Wanting to do a good job and provide excellent customer service she takes a couple of steps towards Sutton…
“Can I help you sir?” She says in this cheerful flirty voice.
Sutton smiles. “Nice voice” he thinks.
”I think you can.” He says and then takes a sip of coffee he picked up at Dunkin' Donuts.
“Great!” Jenn says and we know her name is Jenn by her name badges. “What are you looking for?”
”Jenn…..I’m going fishing and where I’m going there is no dock. I have no boat and I want to cast out there as far as I can so I need to get out der in the water some. About waist high. So do you guys still have….”
“Hip waders?” Jenn says.
Sutton smiles and points at Jenn. ”It’s like you just read my mind girl.”
“Follow me. I’ll show you where they are.” She says and spins on her heels and starts to walk away. Sutton watches her and he’s glad he stopped here this morning.
Couple of minutes later Jenn is cashing Sutton out.
“Good luck out there. I hope you catch something.” Jenn says as he hands Sutton his receipt and the bag with his waders in it.
”hmmm….I’ve got good feelings about this fish hole I found. Jenn you have been a lifesaver. Thank you so much.”
“Ahh...Thanks!”
Scene switches to a small pond in the woods. There is a beaver dam in the middle of the pond and standing up to his hips in his newly bought waders is Sutton. His arms are crossed and he flings them open.
”I’m standing in the pond of tears! Tim Stone’s tears he shed about getting his ass kicked by Havoc!”
Sutton laughs.
”Oh Havoc! He attacked me after my match, my match that I lost! Havoc is a little bitch cuz he didn’t face me like a man before my match!” Sutton says mockingly.
”Havoc could have faced you right after you you worked out, shot up on riods and hired two bodyguards to protect your bitch ass and the result would have still been the same. You would have still gotten beaten done. You would have still lost your match. You would have still cried us a river of “Whoa is me” tears and there will still be a flash flood warning issued for Wednesday night after I beat you and Blade in middle of that ring. If you cried this hard this week, just wait till next week when I drop you on your head and stomp all over your carcass, stand back and pick up a box of popcorn and watch you do what you do best.”
Sutton places his hands on his hips.
”And that is cry like the little bitch that you are. Oh don’t even deny it Stone. We all know it’s true. Someone jumps you and you whine and bitch about it. I wasn’t ready! I’ll get you next time Havoc! You just wait and see!” Sutton says mockingly.
”I don’t know who Havoc is but I’m thinking he’s not staying up at night thinking about the beating you’re not going to give him. I bet he’s laughing, tossing back a cold one and smirking. He got ya, got ya good and well….we see how you handled it. It’s clear as the day that you have no idea who you are about to step in the ring with. I’ve already won this match and you’re just too stupid to see it. You can’t focus either. You’re like that kid in the playground running around playing hide and seek and you stop and yell “SQUIRREL!” for no reason what so ever. It must pain you to put together two coherent sentences together and I know you have nothing else to say when you break out the whole You’re not even on my level bullshit. See Stone, that is what guys like you go too when you know you’re beat. You know it, you just won’t admit it. You just draw a blank, you get tongue tied and blurt out You’re not even on my level! line.”
Sutton sighs.
”If anyone should be upset, throwing a fit and smashing shit it’s me. I’m getting tired of facing chumps like you. Guys who think they are someone when clearly you are a nobody. Havoc jumped you because he knows you’re easy target. He can very quickly get his name out there and get everyone talking about him by beating you down and no one is saying “Oh shit! Havoc just jumped Stone, shit just got real!”....nah it’s more like “Hey! Havoc’s back! He just beat that dude’s ass for no reason!” “Who’d he jump?” “You know that dude who cries all the time.” You know it’s true.”
Sutton reaches inside his waders and pulls out his can of chew.
”I don’t know how long you’ve been here Stone but this is true. You are at the bottom of the ladder. You’re look up at the bottom rung. You and Johnny Blade. Reaching up just trying to put a fingertip on it and you’re just falling short. Then you’re getting mad at guys like Havoc, like myself who just walk into the building, step on your head and firmly standin’ on that bottom rung of the ladder here in the NAW. I’m not even going to say that you two are a stepping stone, you two are there merely to make sure I don’t get my boots muddy. Yeah.”
Sutton stuffs his bottom lip. Nods.
”You guessed it. I called you two a doormat. The old welcome mat, wipe your feet here and dat is what I’m gunna to do at Meltdown. Wipe my feet and beat you two and show the real competition in the locker room that Sutton is here, he isn’t messing around. He’s the real deal and that he’s here to make that ring….that NAW ring….”
Sutton snaps the top on his can of chew.
”Well I’m going to make it…..Mine.”
Fade out.
