It's been a couple of months since Nanook dropped Billy off in NYC to work with KC (aka Crash) and it's night and day in how Billy looks. No longer is he a skinny 18 year old kid who looked to be in shape till he took his shirt off. Now with KC working with him in the gym day in and day out he was able to transform Billy into a kid who could pass for a wide receiver in collage. He has definition not only in his arms and chest but also in his abs. The non stop running KC has Billy doing has built up his legs so now Billy has get a spring in his legs to get up in the air to connect with a drop kick. It doesn't sound like a big deal but Billy couldn't dunk on a rim that was 8 feet high. (Billy is 6' 4") Now he can dunk on a 10 foot rim. Billy looks a totally different guy nowadays and while he is still no where near stepping inside the ring, you can see it finally getting closer to that.
Now if KC could talk Billy into protein shakes for adding muscle mass........Billy is at best 210 pounds right now. KC has started calling him super skinny but those jokes and diet tips, 4 AM jogs through Central Park and hours and hours in the gym are about to come to a end......... On the boardwalk in Coney Island is where we find KC and Billy sitting in front of this small mom and pop stand where they got a salad and some bottled water. It was lunch time and KC had some time to sit back and chill before his next show as a side show act down at the Circus sideshows where he plays the crazy strong man of death defying feats of strength. But this was also the day that KC was dreading as he has come to like Billy allot and considers him a friend. It's the day that Billy finally gets his passport and the time has come for him to catch a plane to London for the next step in his training. Only Billy has no clue about any of this.
KC "So me and brother Steve where working for this place in Canada and it blew up. It got big. We were traveling all over the states, Canada, Mexico, Japan. It was a great time. The cash was awesome. The women were awesome if you know what I mean. It was a blast."
KC says telling Billy one of his road stories over a tasty salad.
KC "So there was this guy named Dreamer. He butted heads with my brother non stop. It became a pissing contest between the two. You hear stories about two guys having heat on each other, well with these two it was a god damn lava field of heat man. So my brother Steve (Steve Sinclair) would work the off days in Washington and I don't know how or why he started this. But he started doing roof top matches."
Billy
"Roof top matches?"KC "He would have a fucking match on top of the arena, on the roof!"
Billy
"Really? Why?"KC "It was the 90's kid and that sort of stuff was in back then. Anything that sounded like it could kill someone was in. Razor barb wire ring rope matches. Exploding steel cages matches. Boiler room matches. It was crazy man. I mean fucking crazy so when Steve pitched the idea of a hardcore anything goes match on the roof where you win by tossing your opponent off of the roof....."
KC takes a sip of water and nods his head.
KC "People ate it up and remember my brother at this time was over 500 pounds so who was picking him up and throwing him off the roof you know?"
Billy
"Not many I guess."KC "So after a couple of roof top matches in Washington. One in which Steve left this dude named Night Stalker so fucked up he was forced to retire because it's kinda hard to wrestling from 6 feet under."
Billy
"What? Wait? You mean?"KC "Dude had a suicide wish and Steve was more than happy to help him out."
Billy
"Wow...he killed him?"KC "ah....sort of. He took him and sent his head through one of the AC units a couple of times, punished him for a bit and then took him and sent him flying off of the roof. Now there were safety nets in place but this guy missed the nets and landed on a car. It wasn't a huge arena but still it was like 7 stories tall you know. The guy didn't die right away but a couple of weeks later."
Billy
"Damn!"KC "That's why you don't see roof top matches no more. But this guy Dreamer was sooooo pissed about that match that he challenged Steve to a roof top match. The only one we had in the fed. But get this. The arena he picked was right here in New York. He picked Madison Square Garden for the roof top match! Now I don't know if you ever been there but there isn't a flat roof on that thing. It's more of a slight dome."
Billy all wide eyed eating it up.
"What did he say?" KC "Steve hated this guy right. I mean hated this guy and even though he wouldn't admit I think he got off on ending Night Stalker because the guy was really just a dick. Just a giant walking talking douche bag and sending him to the morgue I think spoke to this part of my brother's soul. He's a bit twisted like that. So here he was, with a chance to shut Dreamer's mouth once and for all. He jumped at it."
Billy
"So what happened?"KC "Dreamer, or at least I think it was Dreamer even though he didn't own it. He set some bombs up and in middle of this knock down drag out blood bath on top of MSG when a bomb popped off. It wasn't anything big, or I don't think it was meant to be huge but it blew a small hole into the roof!"
Billy
"No way!"KC "Way! My brother pissed off from the bomb going off, spotted this hole that was maybe 4 foot around and spears Dreamer right into the hole! They both ended up falling through the roof! Steve managed to catch one of the catwalks while Dreamer fell and just happened to land in the ring!"
Billy
"GET OUT!"KC "I shit you not! Dreamer crash landed in middle of the ring....and LIVED!!!! That bastard returned a couple of months later to wrestle again!"
Billy
"I don't believe you! No way! Just.....no way! Nope! I'm calling bullshit!"In mist of the story Nanook has walked up behind Billy. Nanook left Billy with KC and hasn't seen Billy in 3 months himself while he busy finding work for Joe Jones in the UWL and getting him out of Vegas. While he was in Knoxville with Joe, he was waiting on Billy's passport and it finally showed up today. So it was time for Billy to catch a flight to London where the real training was going to happen.
Nanook
"Ain't no Bullshit Billy! I was there. Saw it all with my own eyes."Billy snaps around and is surprised to see Nanook! He jumps from his chair.
Billy
"NANOOK!"Nanook
"In fact Steve was dangling from the cat walk and it was.....oh what was his name. The little dude. All 145 pounds of him...."KC "Burtino."
Nanook
"YES! Burtino had to rush out there and help Steve crawl to the safety of the cat walk because he was the lightest guy on the roster."Billy
"Wow. It all sounds crazy."Nanook
"Well that is how it was back then. The good old days."KC "Yup."
Billy
"Huh. Wish I could have seen them."Nanook shakes his head no
"No you don't. No one walked away without a couple of broken bones kid. It's much better nowadays Kid. Oh yeah sure you're not making the crazy ass money you could back then, but you're not walking around half dead half way through your twenties either. And trust me there is still some crazy jack to be had."Billy
"Well that's good to know."Nanook
"So did you get my message?"Billy
"Message?"Nanook
"Yeah. About being all packed up and ready to go?"Billy
"To go? Go where?"Nanook
"London."Billy has a surprised look on his face.
"London? You mean?"Nanook
"Yup! Got your passport yesterday! Also got you a plane ticket. Plane leaves in 2 hours."Nanook hands Billy his passport and his one way plane ticket to Billy. Billy holds them and flips through his passport.
Billy
"So this is it then? Time for my training to get kicked up a notch."KC "Knowing Mad Cyril like I do. You'll hope he only kicks it up one notch. Kid get ready for some pain. Real pain."
Billy
"Really?"Nanook
"His first name is Mad for a reason kid. Come on Kid. We have to get going."Billy
"Right now?"Nanook
"Yeah right now."Billy turns and faces KC to say good bye. KC stands up and Billy looks up at him.
Billy
"Thanks for everything."KC "Just do me a favor. Stay away from fried foods and kick some ass! You hear me kid."
Billy
"No problem."The shake hands, which turns into a hug and soon enough Billy was on his way to London to enter the 2nd phase of his training.............
