After the show, A happy Green Man with his gear in a bag in on his back steps out of his locker room and makes his way to the parking lot. He’s in a good mood, even after the end of the show beating from Bright and crew. He just pretty much shrugs that off like it was nothing.
Green Man hums a song or two as he strolls down the hallways. And it couldn’t be better, but like all good things, it has to come to an end. And this as come to an end as well. It’s name is Tony Splash Jackson. With Mic, camera and all kinds of shit, he walks up to Green Man.
“Green Man, Can I get a word with you?” Tony asks.
“Oh damn.” Green Man says. “I was hoping to avoid you at all cost when I came back to the XWA.”
“Yeah, well, you have done a pretty good job of that till now.” Tony says.
“Not well enough.”
“Come-on, quite busting my balls.” Tony says
“Okay man. Comments huh?” Green Man says as he thinks for a second.
“You beat Rob Stallion. How does that feel?”
“What do you mean?” Green Man asks.
“Well, I mean that you were able to get some form of revenge on him for the lose a few weeks ago.” Tony says
“Oh. Well Tony. Rob never really beat me a few weeks go. He didn’t earn a win in that match, he was handed a win. And tonight, I just took that victory back from him, after I made him tap like a pig, shame his new buddy Heflin wouldn’t call the bell and then, to add to it, I pinned him. It was a win Tony. Wasn’t the end of no war. I said all week, Rob would eat his words, and that I was the better man, and well, that’s what I did tonight. Went out there after I got mentally prepared and won the match. Simple as that. Rob now has to go and make up some new shirts, think up a new slogan and call it a day as far as I am concerned.”
“But Green Man, it was a submission match.” Tony adds.
“I know that silly. And I made him tap. Dennis would call the match, but Brandon took care of that. It really doesn’t matter Tony, Submission or a pin fall, I still would have won. That was the bottom line.” Green Man says,
“Okay, Well I am sure Rob will have something to say about this.”
“And I am sure you will find him out and ask him too.” Green Man says with a smile.
“Of course. What are your thoughts on Hammer and Bright?”
“Who cares.” Green Man says
“Well, they were in cahoots the whole time, it was all fixed....” Tony starts to say, but Green Man cuts him off.
“Tony. I don’t care. I really don’t. Doesn’t phase me at all.”
“Okay, be that way.” Tony says.
“And I will be.”
“What is your relationship with Eternity and Blitz?” Tony asks.
“I was there pretty much. I haven’t had any secret meetings with Eternity or anything like that. The guy is in a big war, fighting for a cause, and I have much respect for the guy, so I’ll give him an hand. I had a feeling that something quote unquote big was going to happen tonight, so I hung around to make sure I got a good seat to see it happen. We’ll see what happens.”
“Okay. Next week, Your first big break since your return to the XWA, Hardcore title match with Jack Knight.”
“Oh yeah?” Green Man says with a surprise.
“Oh, you didn’t know?” Tony asks.
“No, but now I do. uhmm, Jack Knight, Hardcore title match, sounds like fun.”
“Jack Knight has held the hardcore title for a month now, The bright spot in his XWA career so far.”
“I bet, that is always a bright spot in one’s career. The precious hardcore title.” Green Man says.
“Are you saying you don’t want it?” Tony asks.
“Oh no. Any shot at Gold is good. It’s just that hardcore isn’t really my thing. And I bet Jack will love hearing that. I don’t care. If it’s the hardcore title, the TV title, or the World title, I’m ready to win it. Simple as that. It has been a very, very long time since I have held gold. In fact, Eternity was the last person who took my gold. That was the XWA US title or what ever it was back then. This is why I am here, to hold gold. Hardcore or not. I just hope Jack doesn’t except me to break out flame throwers or any crazy shit like that, but I’ll entertain him none the less. Sounds like fun.” Green Man says.
“Afraid of getting hurt?” Tony asks.
“No. Why would I?” Green Man answers.
“Well, your like, “
“Old?” Green Man says.
“Yeah.”
“That has nothing to do it. I walked out of this submission match just fine, and I will next week. Don’t worry Tony, just wait and see, This time next week, I’ll have me some gold. I like that.” Green Man says as he walks away.
