OGDA rolls over from his slumber at the hotel he stayed at after winning the OCW Craze Championship. Yes, he is wearing his mask and a tee shirt of a cat, with it’s one paw, with it’s claws dug deep into a thick piece of rope and is dangling from this rope with “Never give up” written above him. The title belt, his first championship he has ever won in his career, rests on the nightstand next to his bed with a blanket draped over it to keep it warm.
OGDA looks at the title lovingly. He reaches over and gives the top of the belt a few taps.
“Morning!” OGDA says to the belt. “I hope you slept good. I slept like a baby. I feel so refreshed and ready to go.”
OGDA throws the blanket off of himself and yes, he is fully dressed. He swings his legs over the side of the bed and sits up.
“It feels like today is a new day belty.”
Yes, OGDA named his belt, belty
“The sun is shining. The birds are chirping. Somewhere in the forests, little baby deer are hopping around and playing around with each other. Baby bears are trying to climb up the side of a snowy mountain to follow it’s mommy and I, OGDA, is the brand new Craze Champion of the OCW. Today is a great day. Today….”
OGDA stands up and walks over to the window. He throws back the curtains to reveal a wet cold rainy day…..
“Is the best day of the week. Today Belty, we start a new chapter in the book that is, OGDA. Today, we stand as living proof that you can achieve anything when you put your mind to it. We are winners Belty. We’re, superheros!”
OGDA spins around and scoops up Belty. He cradles it in his arms.
“And we’re on top of the world!”
OGDA hugs Belty and carefully lays it down on the bed.
“Now I’ve got to go take a shower. We have to get ready for our first match when we face Mister Collins Monday night. We’re going to the gym and working out. Then we have to meet Mister Kelloggs and talk about our first match together. Busy day Belty, so much to do being a champion of the OCW. I don’t want to disappoint Mister Welsh. But first.”
OGDA gives his pits a sniff check.
“I’ve got to get cleaned up. No one likes a smelly Champion. What was that?”
OGDA picks up Belty and give it the sniff test.
“You can use a bath as well! Come on Belty, it’s shower time. No one likes a smelly title belt. Time to make you pretty.”
James Kelloggs, the Bad Ass personal reporter to the Craze Champion is straightening up his tie and checking his hair, making sure the little bit of fuzz on his dome isn’t sticking up and looking weird. He licks his palm and runs it over his head to make sure the little bit of hair he has, is good. He looks at himself in the mirror and smiles. It took a while, but Joe finally found him a gig that doesn’t require him to dress up as Scrappy Doo. It’s the first step towards getting back in the ring himself.
James picks up his mic, and it’s a rainbow themed mic with the OGDA logo on it. He holds it up and checks himself out in the mirror. While admiring himself, the makeup lady enters. She’s dragging her makeup bag behind her as it’s a custom made wheel suitcase. She’s a slender brunette wearing a grey skirt, a white top, her hair pulled back and bright red lips, black rimmed glasses.
“Hello! I’m Cassidy and I’ll be doing your makeup….” She says as she wheels in her bag and parks it. Cassidy then looks at James and it’s like the cat caught her tongue. “Oh?”
James turns around, all smiles. “Hi!”
Cassidy takes a step towards James and kneels down front of him, with her high heels on, she was 2 feet taller than James. “Nice to meet you.” Cassidy says as he places her hand on the side of his face and slowly runs her index finger down his jaw line. “I see I don’t have very much work to do here today. In fact…”
Cassidy leans forward and kisses James on his forehead, leaving a red lipstick lip on his forehead.
“Opps.” Cassidy says and then bites her bottom lip.
“Well then.” James says all smiles. “We better fix that!”
James is pushing his stool towards OGDA, his hair all messed up and is now sporting a hickey on the side of his neck and smeared lipstick on his lips. James places his stool where he wants it as OGDA is running his hand over Belty which is firmly around his waist. James climbs up the two steps on his stool.
“Okay Best. Let’s do this.” James says as he turns on the mic and taps it a couple of times to make sure it’s working. He fiddles with his earpiece as OGDA just stares at him.
“Mister Kelloggs? You have red stuff on your face.”
“Oh? Huh. Hold on.” James says as he pulls out a handkerchief and whips the smeared lipstick from his face. “Good?”
“Yes. What was that?”
“Oh, the Makeup lady, she was a wild one. I don’t think she knew what she was doing. Must be new to the job.”
“Miss Cassidy?”
“Oh you meet her?”
“She did my makeup.”
“Wait? You wear a mask.”
“Yeah but, you can she my eyes. She made them stand out.”
James squints. “Oh yeah. I take back what I said then. That lady is remarkable.”
James clears his throat and smiles towards the camera.
“The time has come folks! No more waiting around! This coming Monday on Massacre! Your new OCW Craze Champion will be in action as he faces Aiden Collins, the Infinity King in a non title match! Joining me in the, the,”
James quickly looks around the studio.
“Superhero Studio, home to the Craze…”
“Hmm, Mister Kelloggs. Actually, It’s the….” OGDA says before leaning in and whispering something to James.
“Fair enough. I can work with that.” James says and turns towards the camera. “We’re in the Superhero Studio, home to OCW’s only true superhero, and the newly minted SUPERHERO CHAMPION! OGDA! Best! How is the champ today?”
“Good.”
“Come on big guy, I know you! You’re just, Good?”
“No.”
“Come on then, how are you?”
“I’m, I’m, I really want to say a naughty word followed by Fantastic! I can’t believe it! I’m a champion for the first time in my career Mister Kelloggs! Now I know how it feels to be you when you were a champion a couple of years ago!”
“It is quite the feeling isn’t it?”
“Oh my cheese and crackers is it! It’s like, like I’m Superman or something! In fact, I feel like a superhero! I showed all of my Rainbow Warriors, my Shining Stars, each and every Little Buddy out there, that when you put in the hard work, when you truly believe in yourself and set yourself a goal, you can achieve great things in your life! Who knew 6 months ago when I wore this mask for the first time in that high school gym in Mexico, I would then be standing here, you’re! OCW! Craze! Champion! It’s crazy!”
“Now, a couple of second ago, you wanted me to call it the Superhero Championship. Why?”
“Mister Kelloggs, Last week when I came out to celebrate winning this title with my Rainbow Warriors, they started calling it the Superhero title, so my Rainbow Warriors, they spoke. They’re not keen on the Craze name, to them, it is the championship to their superhero, and it’s the Superhero Championship!”
“Well, Champ!” James calls OGDA and pauses to see the huge smile that OGDA is sporting under that mask. Such an honor being called, Champ.
“This week you face one tough cookie in Aiden Collins. A man who, very quickly has made waves here in OCW. He has shown rather quickly that he isn’t to be taken lightly. This will be your first match as the, Superhero Champion. If Collins was to win, he could claim that he wants a shot at the belt.”
“Mister Kelloggs. You like cookies?”
“Cookies, nookie, Boo…..”
“JAMES!”
“Boooolue berry muffins, I like them.”
“What happens when you dunk a cookie into a tall glass of nice cold milk? Besides making the cookie more yummier.”
“It….tastes like milk?”
“Yup, that it does. It also makes the cookie softer. It makes the cookie crumb in your mouth. Mister Collins on Monday night is going to be like that cookie that you dunked in milk. Soft. Easily broken. You pull it out of the milk, give it a shake and it instantly breaks in two. It just crumbles apart. Why?”
“No idea but I could go for a cookie right now.”
“Because the milk is more powerful, stronger and just better for you than that cookie, which started life out as soft batter, had to get cooked to toughen it up, but when you reintroduce it to liquid, it just falls apart. The pressure was just too much for it. I’m the milk Mister Kelloggs! I’m the glass of milk with the superpowers that will break Mister Collins down and expose his soft doughy insides. Mister Collins might have had a one or two good matches here in OCW. He might have wrestled some less than stellar guys in the OCW. But this week. Mister Collins is facing the SuperHero Champion. He’s facing the legion of Rainbow Warriors. He’s tackling the endless universe of Shining Stars! Mister Collins is going to find out first hand that when OGDA and his army of Little Buddies get together and join forces, there is no stopping us! In fact! Maybe Mister Collins should just rethink this wrestling match of ours and consider joining a winner on a winning team and join Team OGDA at Death March, where someone from my team is going to win that shot at the OCW Championship!”
OGDA glances at James and looks back at the camera.
“To win at Death March, it’s going to take a superhero to win that tournament, and Mister Collins, I can make you that superhero to achieve that shot at Mister Mayhe’s title!”
“OGDA! Is that a invitation for Aiden Collins to join Team OGDA?”
“Mister Collins can join a winner such as myself.”
OGDA crack his knuckles, snaps his neck side to side quickly.
“Or he can join Mister Harrison on the scrap heap. Your choice!”
OGDA slides the belt off from around his waist and holds it up to the camera as he slowly walks past it.
“Well there you have it folks! OGDA laying out the challenge! What will Aiden Collins do? Find out this upcoming Monday Night at Massacre!”
Fade out.
OGDA looks at the title lovingly. He reaches over and gives the top of the belt a few taps.
