So, where were we? AH! Yes...
Making his way down the long hallway that leads to the conference room is Nolan. 3rd in command of Team ATARI. He has dedicated his life to this one sole purpose:
Elimination of the Yamauchi
In his hand is a file folder that is about to change the war against the Yamauchi and he pauses before entering the flip it open and take one last look at it. Inside the folder is a picture paper clipped to a file sheet of one Kendrick Kross. Nolan looks it over and nods and closes the file folder. His decision has been made.
Inside the room is Ted and Jack. These two have been working nonstop for the past 2 months as Yamauchi foot soldiers seem to becoming out of the wood work and this has Team ATARI busier, more than ever. Nolan enters and normally he doesn’t take his seat at the table choosing to stand behind his chair as these meetings are normally short and to the point. But today, Nolan pulls his chair out and takes a seat, which causes both Jack and Ted’s assholes to pucker. Shit just got real
Nolan tosses the file on the table, a converted wing from a F16.
“Gentlemen.” Nolan says calmly. “I know we are fighting the Yamauchi from all sides now. I know we have the guys bouncing from the west coast to the east coast while the search of the Energon Device continues. I also know that we are close to securing section 5 and section 6 of the Energon Device. You do not have to remind me what the guys on the ground are dealing with. I am well aware of it.”
Ted slowly slides the file towards him and flips it open and take a quick look. He is aware of the file and what it contains. He slides it across the table to Jack who flips it open.
“We were able to head off some intel. We were able to gather some information that we were not aware of. This is a game changer.”
Jack closes the file who is also privy to some of what it contained prior to this meeting.
“I know I have asked you to instruct the team to back off of Babsy, who we have longed believed to be a member of the Yamauchi, albeit unconfirmed. New evidence has come to light that suggests that not only is Babsy a Yamauchi, but most recently he could have been promoted to the rank of general of the Yamauchi army. Out of everyone we suspect of being a Yamauchi, Babsy tends to be one of the most proficient collectors of Energon Devices. He collects at an alarming rate choosing for quantity or quality. It is just a matter of time before Babsy gets lucky and is able to locate one of the Dilithium Crystals.”
Jack looks across the table at Ted. Ted glances up and looks back at the table.
“Babsy is very good at what he does and he seems to be able to get followers who are working for him, collecting. He is slowly casting his net. That is why Dabney and Bushnell have decided to send in the team to keep a better eye on him.”
Ted looks at Nolan, and doesn’t utter his usual “Fucking Dabney”.
“On the west coast, Babsy is recruiting and training in something called the ICWA. We believe this is nothing more than a front for a Yamauchi recruitment center. Babsy is a instructor there. That is why we are sending the team there so they can keep a closer eye on Babsy. They are not to engage the target, merely to keep tabs on him. The risks are high. We have considered this. Babsy might be aware of their ulterior motives for this, ICWA and he might choose to try and take them out, but this is a risk we are prepared to take.”
Nolan then pushes his chair back and stands up.
“Operation Babsy will be a non conflict peacekeeping mission.” Nolan says as he looks at Ted and Jack.
“For now.”
Ted gives a slight nod. Jack glances across the table at Ted.
“Gentlemen. You have your orders.”
Fade out.
